Serves 8
Ingredients :
1 kg pumpkin
2½ cups milk
1½ cups sugar
2 tbsp ghee
Cardamom
Nutmeg powder (Jayphal)
Dry fruits (cashewnuts, pista, almonds, raisins)
Method:
- Grate the pumpkin and discard the water.
- Heat ghee and add the grated pumpkin.
- Stir and add milk.
- Stir frequently, and when it becomes very thick, add sugar, cardamom and nutmeg powder.
- Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture reaches halwa consistency.
- Remove from heat, garnish with dried fruits and serve hot.
